Purple Jinjos are the most basic form of Jinjo appearing in every game in the Banjo-Kazooie series to date. Making their debut in the original Banjo-Kazooie, they were one of the five Jinjos needed to be collected in each world. They were notable for being the only Jinjo color to appear on the cover art of the game, being held by Banjo as he escaped from Gruntilda and her baddies. In Banjo-Tooie, they were the second largest family, with eight members. The Purple Jinjos are indigenous to Spiral Mountain in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge.
