The cuirvas was the middle of three names given to Hutts. It identified their clan; for example, Jabba Desilijic Tiure's cuirvas was Desilijic, identifying him as a member of the Desilijic clan. The cuirvas, along with a Hutt's third name, was generally kept from non-Hutts, with the notable exceptions of Suudaa Nem'ro and Voontara Fa'athra, both known primarily by their cuirvases, "Nem'ro" and "Fa'athra", respectively.
