Kyōzen Chōkaido (弔灰土供善 Choukaido Kyouzen "Lit"; Sacrifice of Good within the Funeral of Ashes and Earth) was formerly a Shinigami who existed in the preliminary foundations of the Seireitei and Gotei 13. He existed as a preserver of the innocent and those of good intentions. He rebelled against the initial Gotei 13 several times because of their merciless and cruel nature. Their means of quelling "possible threats" within the Seireitei was considered unjust to the man, and he thus opposed their most powerful with nothing but a plain expression upon his face.
