Prior to the Boonta Eve Podrace in 32 BBY, Banv'k and his brother visited with the notorious Jabba the Hutt on business with the Cartel. Many years later, both slugs were present at Jabba's funeral. Banv'k was heartbroken at the loss and distrustful of the Cartel and left to settle in peace on Nar Shaddaa.
