Burenian hostility against Lovia dates back to the end of the nineteenth century, when Burenia was invaded by the United States. At that time, Lovia openly supported the Americans, but never participated in the war. After the war had ended this hostility cooled down a little, but in 2013 the tensions between Tagog and Burenia on one side and Lovia and several other wikinations on the other side increased again and when Alexei Krasnov, at the time the Minister of Commerce, was recorded saying "Burenia is boring", the first plans to invade Lovia were made. Approximately a year later, the final plans were accepted and five days later Burenian forces landed in Lovia.
