Colonel Yvetro was the Nymean commanding officer of the base on Redoubt Besh from its start until it was first invaded during the First Battle of Redoubt Besh. He was a native of Jroven who joined the Nymean military when his planet joined the Ascendancy. He led his men well and managed to hold off the Horothrium for nearly two weeks while outnumbered and cut off from space. When it was clear he could no longer hold his position, he devised a plan to drive the Horothrium out of one of the escape tunnels all the while retreating with the wounded in tow to reach evacuation transports that would get them off planet. Despite a running battle taking place in space and the enemy troops advancing on the ground, he managed to evacuate fifteen thousand of his surviving men.

He was commended for his brave actions and given command of a division of soldiers to fight in the First Tagol Campaign. For a month, he fought well until he was killed in a large Nymean offensive on 11/19/55.
