Like many other alleged members of the San Jose mob, Napolitano was a successful and respected legitimate businessman. Napolitano bought a ranch and moved to Pittsburg, CA in 1963, with his family. He had no known police record although he was implicated in the celebrated "Cheese Case" murder of Peter Catelli, probably San Jose's most infamous mob 'hit'. He passed away peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, in Pittsburg, California on January 2, 2012 at the age of 89.
