Kelly Plot: (The first half the plot was in Goodbye, Tom.) While passing throughhis old town of Ukulele Bottom, Sea Viriginia, he sees his old school and heads inside. There he bumps into his old flame, Shubie Fishbowl. She invites him to stay at her house for a couple of days, where Shubie relays on Tom how she needs a father figure around for her kids after spliting with her husband, Paco. While at Shubie's house, he is introduced to Taylor and Vera, Shubie's kids, and the neighbors, including the local redneck and the family of anchovies, which include father Lenny, his wife, and fish son Scooter. Shubie experiences problems with her two kids, and Tom agrees to help; the results in him becoming the very person Shubie needs around. The inevitable happens, and Tom sticks around - after a complication involving the return of her delinquent of an ex-husband, Paco. After a romantic montage, followed by the dismissal of Paco, Tom and Shubie get married.
