Synopsis
  • Wally, his mother, and Mason are hanging out at their neighbor's apartment. Mason tells stories of the Clipper. A bum appears in the hallway. Wally gives him a blanket and calls the police. However, when the police arrive, it is to evict everyone in the building for not paying their rent. Wally calls Chunk, hoping he will let them spend the night, but there is no answer. Their luggage is stolen, and Wally can't find it even at superspeed. All their credit cards are declined when he and his mother try to get something to eat. Wally goes to Mr. Gilchrist's home. His landlord tells him that he had nothing to do with the eviction, and gives Wally ten dollars. After returning from Gilchrist's, Wally can't find his mother and subsequently loses the money Gilchrist gave him. He also loses his speed from lack of food. People who pass him on the street treat him like trash. Eventually, he runs into a nice old man who shares a chocolate bar with him. He takes Wally to a spot where a crowd of homeless people are waiting for the Pied Piper, who arrives with a large bag of food. Suddenly, the crowd is approached by an angry Durlan wielding some sort of weapon. Wally passes out. When he awakes, he learns that Earth has been invaded.
