There is pretty much no information regarding Anonymous Shinobi, as he lives in the shadows (as in, actually lives on the dark underbelly of society, not does evil things and hides because of his tragic past until somebody comes along to prove his ways wrong). He, like any actual ninja worth hiring, has concealed virtually every aspect of his past, combat abilities, and even his existence itself. The only reason we know he exists is because the lords and crime bosses he has been (presumably) hired to assassinate obviously didn't poison or stab themselves.

The only reason we know he exists is because the lords and crime bosses he has been (presumably) hired to assassinate obviously didn't poison or stab themselves. From what little we do know, he never engages an enemy without knowing he can win, or at least disengage without being identified and finish the job later. This really helps with keeping his anonymity intact, since he never has to show himself to his targets or give retarded speeches about the who, what, where, why, and how of his assassination job and the one who hired him. The few eyewitness reports of Anonymous Shinobi provide precious little information. He wears clothing with no patterns, accessories, bright colors (such as orange or white), or shiny materials (such as headbands that not only reflect light, which interferes with reducing one's appearance to that of a shadow and stealth in general, but also provide a perfect way for enemies to identify where you come from and who you work for if they do manage to kill you, which is bad since they can then just declare war on or assassinate whoever sent you). Nothing he wears associates him with any country, ideology, or agenda. He is simply a shadow who appears, silences his target, and disappears. In other words, he's a real ninja. Compared to other ninjas, he might seem uninteresting. He can't blow things up by waving his hands, he can't summon monsters, he can't make contracts with spirits, he can't move at superhuman speeds, and he doesn't have anything even remotely resembling a spider sense. He is just a normal human who trains his body to normal human limits and uses poison and trickery to kill people for money or whatever it is he likes to be paid. Of course, since we don't know his motives (since he doesn't reveal anything about himself, being a real ninja), he could also just be in it for fun.
