A Dutch Diamondhide was a type of dragon native to the Low Countries. The Diamondhide was easily distinguished by its crystalline skin, which was highly prized and very valuable. Due to the great demand among the upper class for goods made of Diamondhide leather, it had been hunted to extinction by the late 1890's.
