- After acquiring the plans to the MC-80b from Esran Croft Enterprises the Confederacy sought to bring the schematic of the vessel completely up to date. Knowing that the MC-90, the 80's bigger brother, was only fifty five meters longer and sported much more weaponry the always military tech savvy confederates began to enhance the craft. After several months of development the MC-80c was born. Classified as the 'c' version it carries the appearance that the Mon Calamari actually built the vessel when in fact the 'c' classification stands for Confederate and not an advancement by the Mon Cal's on their original design.

Sharing many similar qualities with both early and later designs of the MC-80's the Confederate version sports added weaponry without a loss in shielding, hull or starfighter capacity as well as adding cluster pods back onto the vessels hull.
