Colonial architecture is common, cars are oldtimers, from the 1940s at the latest, and the main export seems to be bananas. Romera's original political system is uncertain, but in all settings, it was conquered at some point by an imperial power. Romera is one of a series of statelets on Gondwana with very similar histories. The other statelets that appear are Alohana and Mexico. The state's capital is Crescendo. Though not really part of the territory of Romera, the Paradise area lies close to the country. A small republic founded by settlers from Southfar. It was occupied by Germanistan prior to the onset of the game's plot, propably because of the only known deposits of fossile fuel on the planet being located off the nation's shores, and the occupation since gave birth to countless resistance groups attempting to fight of the occupants with more or less effective methods (as the FireSeeds). Germanistan's occupation was removed when the Germanistan army and the allied Cormerran Army were almost completely annihilated by Xeno. Romera appears in Earth VI as jungle state which survived the global nuclear destruction of World War III by being strategically unimportant and protected by unique geographic conditions. It is occupied by Metropolis and various facilities of the city-state are located in Romera - for example, there is a holiday mansion of the O'Dean family located in the city of Crescendo, which is the capital city in this setting. Most of the nation itself however is uninhabited jungle with uncertain borderlines, which is never explored in the game. The artificial Bestia Chimera is fought as a boss in Romera.
