Alessa Gillespie is a major character in the Silent Hill film. Her character is based on the game character of the same name. She is the daughter of Dahlia Gillespie and niece to Christabella. Alessa is the driving force of the events of the disasters of Silent Hill, West Virginia. Alessa's pain and suffering created the Fog World and the Otherworld after she was bullied, raped, tortured and immolated due to the religion of the town. Alessa is seen briefly in the sequel Silent Hill: Revelation, both as a child and as a teenager.
