Koob was a male Ferengi beetlejockey employed by Sleekback racing beetle breeder Nix, and a lover of Nix's daughter, Duwain. Koob was killed when, after spending the night prior to the Latinum Mandible beetle race drinking wormwine with Duwain, mistook an ill-tempered beetle named "Luck", rather than his intended beetle, "Wisdom". Luck turned on the other beetles during the race, crashing at fifty kilometers per hour. (DS9 reference: Legends of the Ferengi)
