Kritturs are creatures from the planet of Shanazar. Although a peaceful race, they attacked Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose from inside an enormous suit of armour, calling themselves The Black Knight. They had disguised themselves inside this contraption to stop The Baron and his Knightmares from taking what isn't theirs. Unfortunately, their plan hit a snag when Sonic ripped through the armour with a Spin Attack. Learning of the Kritturs' true nature, Amy lied to The Baron about the "Knight's" power and the untimely death of Sonic, leaving the horses vowing to never return to the Kritturs' world again.
