Since CommunitySift uses multiple rules and text classification techniques to filter phrases, the lists in this article are not representative of the words filtered. In games, text filtering is done with two functions of the Chat service. FilterStringAsync is used to filter messages sent by one player and intended for a single other player, while FilterStringForBroadcast is used to filter messages broadcasted to all players. To be compliant with the filtering rules, game developers must filter all messages which are shown to players in GUI objects, character names, etc. If the place's creator failed to comply with this rule, their game would be put Under Review.
