The RX180G features a basswood body with a flame maple top bolted to a maple neck with a color-matched headstock and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a gold synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups. The RX170 is a similar model without the flame maple top and with chrome hardware. The RX180G was sold only in Japan and was discontinued after 2000.
