Selkies are a race that inhabits Etheria in the She-Ra: Princess of Power series. Selkies resemble sea lions with humanoid arms and legs. They make their home in the Kingdom of Galacia in the Freezing Mountains and are ruled by King Narwahl. For many years, the Selkies were at war with their next door neighbors, the people from the Kingdom of Snows. However, when the Evil Horde came to Etheria, the two warring parties set aside their differences to form an uneasy truce.

  • Selkies are a supernatural species. They have superhuman strength, even in human form. They can take human form, but once their skins are placed back on them they have to return to the ocean to become human once more. They can take many marine mammal shapes - such as walrus or harbor seal.
