Synopsis
  • Geo-Force is distracted from picking up his lady friend Denise at the airport by an explosion at the Markovian Science Institute, though happily nobody is harmed. The next night, ghostly events plague the inhabitants of Castle Markov until they discover that the culprits are the Untouchables, who have come to steal some Markovian technology to aid Clyde, one of their number who has become trapped in an immaterial state. A brawl ensues, at the end of which Geo-Force himself is left intangible and without an air supply.
  • Blue Devil discovers just why he's been pursued by the Ironmongers and captured by Blacksmyth: a being named Galaxa intends to use his unique techno-magical nature to draw out Earth's "Worldseed", or spirit, and consume it. The Worldseed empowers him to fight on its behalf, but he is ultimately defeated and left a normal man, stripped of his Blue Devil suit. Meanwhile, his efforts on Earth's behalf have somehow opened a portal between the demon Nebiros' realm in hell and the Hollywood hills, through which Nebiros intends to conquer humanity.
  • Catwoman manages to drive Bracuda out of town and recover the painting that she was originally hired to steal.
