Leon was born in 1978 as the eldest. His father died when he was 12, making him the "man of the family" with two brothers and a sister. At age 17, he graduated from high school, one of the youngest ever. He went to the military-based training school, the K&K Combat Academy, and trained for 3 three years until graduating as one of the top five. He moved to Rocksford in 1998 and worked for only 11 months in the RPF until joining the F.O.R.C.E.S.. He quickly proved to be a leader, becoming friends with many of the squad's crewmen and met his lifetime friend, Scott Aarons, who had known the "blond buff" (as Scott had called Leon) since middle school. He was voted to be the 2nd in Command with his wide knowledge of heavy firearms and his friendly disposition, he proved that he could be a leader
