The 1964 Virginia 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway. Fred Lorenzen led the most laps for the second straight week, leading 487 of the 500 laps in route to a one-lap whooping on Marvin Panch and the rest of the field.
