After her attempts to quit her job, Siegel bought the mortgage on her parents' house in Queens and threatened to evict them if she didn't sleep with him. In order to gain her freedom from Siegel, Nadine and Daniel arranged a cyber theft of $10,000,000 from the casino's account in which Nadine transferred to an offshore account after gaining access to Sam's finances during his massage to use as leverage for Sam to give her ownership of the building. However, the money in the account was actually a loan from the infamous mobster Tommy Moretti, who threatened both Sam and his partner if the money was not returned. After learning that the money was stolen, Moretti arranged for the kidnapping of Nadine and held her until Daniel transferred the money back into his account, after which he safely returned Nadine.
