Toku explained he was built in a lab long ago by a dark haired man and his light haired wife. He lived in an abandoned shed in the woods for a long time before his creators stopped visiting him. Due to lack of development and technological breakthroughs, Toku shut-down after a modest 6 months when his battery ran out. Sometime later the shed was destroyed and Toku was dropped into the ocean, until a storm left him rusted and broken on a beach somewhere. His current owner attempted to rebuild him and fixed him up to run at today's standards. He is assumably between 75 - 86 years old, if you factor in his age appearance.
