abstract	Ken Elegin was a Jedi Master for the New Jedi Order following the conflict with the Lost Tribe of Sith. Although he had been training for years as a Jedi, he had only recently gained the respect of his fellow Jedi and been given the title of Jedi Master. He was a friend of Tash and Zak Arranda and had once shared a mutual attraction with Tash that ended when he left her to fight against the Yevetha during the Yevethan Purge. During a routine meditation, Ken was given a vision by a mysterious figure who asked him to gather a group of beings from across the galaxy who would need to band together in order to fight off a threat that could destroy the entire galaxy. Taking the initiative, he left for Lehon, where he encountered Tash and Zak once more, only to lose Zak when he was killed by a Force-controlled Ram Zerimar. Due to the arrival of Danni Quee and Kunra, Ken was able to save Tash, but not before she began using dark-sided powers to get revenge for her brother's death. Allying with Danni and Kunra, Ken took command of Tash's ship, the Shroud, and left for Pzob, where he had been told to head to next.
