Elizabeth Driver was the wife of Cincinnatus Driver. She was born and raised in Covington, Kentucky, where she cleaned houses for wealthy whites. Following the readmission of Kentucky to the United States at the end of the Great War, she, Cincinnatus, and their son Achilles relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, where their daughter Amanda was born some years later.
