Early decision was a mode of early college admissions that allowed one to secure a slot at a college if admitted, and received one's decision early. But it was seen as an option to be used only if one was certain that it was one's first-choice college; unlike early action, it was binding on the student. LIMCAS allowed a provision to let one apply to one medical school in early decision.
