During the mission, Teal'c was able to communicate with his symbiote through a deep state of kelno'reem and able to convince it to wait a little longer before taking a host, though it would result in discomfort for them both. In the process of this communion, he and Daniel Jackson learned that the symbiote was Egeria, the eventual mother and founder of the Tok'ra movement.

After acquiring a new symbiote and returning to Earth, Aset was fatally wounded by a stray Ma'Tok staff blast that made it through the Stargate. To save her life, Teal'c communed with Egeria once more through kelno'reem and asked her to blend with Aset to heal her injuries.
