The Achievement Medal or Achievement Ribbon was an award meant to recognize junior officers and enlisted personnel's contributions while not meeting the standards of the Commendation Medal or the Meritorious Service Medal (and their equivalent service ribbons). It possessed five variants, for each of the five branches of the United States Armed Forces. Big Boss, back when he was known as John, was awarded the Army Achievement Ribbon at some time prior to August 1964.
