The movement has been characterised as a radical left, Anti-Strassonist, Liberal Socialist organisation who's ideology parallels anarchist and libertarian Marxist thought. According to the movement's Charter, it wishes to "overthrow the current Strassonist regime" replacing it with a "directly democratic liberal socialist community." The movement also aligns itself with wider anti-globalisation movement, seeking people's control over the economy, their land and resources.

| - The movement has been characterised as a radical left, Anti-Strassonist, Liberal Socialist organisation who's ideology parallels anarchist and libertarian Marxist thought. According to the movement's Charter, it wishes to "overthrow the current Strassonist regime" replacing it with a "directly democratic liberal socialist community." The movement also aligns itself with wider anti-globalisation movement, seeking people's control over the economy, their land and resources. The group was founded in 2007, and has undertaken viral internet campaigns against the Strassonist regime which had subsequently been counteracted by the government blocking access to material related to the movement online. The block was however lifted later that year which led to direct action being undertaken by the movement. The movement organised a performance art protest in Fölksplatz in central Brikkstö, featuring a human pyramid exemplifying Wesltand's economic hierarchy, followed by a march to the National Assembly building.
