| - On Philwiki, namespaces are used to differentiate between the main articles and article that are secondary to the encyclopedia. A namespace is seen as a word followed by a colon in the title, followed by the article name. Please do not create more Philwiki namespaces, as they might interfere with the interwiki link system. The following namespaces are used:
* No domain - The Philwiki encyclopedia itself. The articles here are for information about Philmont, and not meant to teach people about Philwiki.
* Talk: - Talk pages are places to discuss and develop the related article with other Philwikians. Civil, to-the-point discourse that helps develop a consensus is the goal of all talk pages.
* User: - User pages are places for logged-in users to explain about themselves. Most of the content and stylistic policies and guidelines do not apply. Still, do not let user pages sprawl and contain information not related to Philwiki and your contriibutions.
* User talk: - These are the same as talk pages on main articles, but are less focused, and can be adapted widely. These are the best way to send messages to other users.
* Philwiki: - This is meant to inform people and clarify thie processes and ideas of Philwiki. These articles carry stricter content requirements, owing to their limited scope. Most of the articles are help, policy, and explanation.
* Category: - Categories are an effective way to organize articles, by adding an appropriate tag at the bottom of articles. These are automatically constructed by the MediaWiki software of Philwiki. Categories are one of the best ways ot organize Philwiki; please use them!
* List: - Lists are user-created pages that must link to every article they feature, unlike a category. Lists can be further categorized than categories generally, since they can be organized in other ways than alphabetically and can have images and more explanatory text.
* Special: - Special pages are largely functional or system-related pages. They may be related to maintenace
* - Articles in the "Template" domain are not really articles, instead just framework or boilerplate formatting that can be inserted Philwiki:Templates. These pages are largely invisible, really only seen by people editing them.
