- Well the economy refers to all the different things that people do to produce goods and services. What are goods and services? Goods and services are what improve economic well being. Economics is also about the allocation of scarce resources. It's hard to define economics but we know what it is when we see it. The economy is classified into three different sectors: Agriculture, Industry, and Services.
- Going to put this artlice to good use now.
- Economics is a Business-type subject and an inexact social science. While studying it, students observe and try to understand different types of business and businesses. - Economics is the only subject worth studying in school. (except maybe business. or theology.) Economics is the precise and completely scientific study of exactly how the economy works. It is fool-proof and flawless, and anyone who says otherwise is a communist.
- Economics is the exchange of goods, services, and labor.
- Economics is the art rather then the science of developing and managing an economy. I have been experimenting with a new approach made possible by recent changes to the program. I have developed a large lending program and at present have 5.1 T in loans to other players. While this represents a loss of direct money it has enabled me to almost completely pay for hositals and education. At present I am short by 1 b in interest payments. In theory while in the safe mode and with a bit of luck it may be possible to build up interest payments to cover more of the monthly running costs.

- Economics is a technology in Civilization games. The ideas of supply and demand, and philosophies concerning trade and the production and consumption of goods and services, are concepts that have existed since the dawn of mankind. As societies became more complex, however, people began to study these abstract concepts in a more formal way. The first recorded study of economics as a science, rather than a philosophical or political concept, was the book "The Wealth of Nations" by Scottish economist Adam Smith. This book represents the first attempt to fully analyze sources of income and the distribution of wealth. Smith's analysis of economics served as a guide by which many of the governmental economic policies of the present day were formed.

- Economics is the "study of the allocation of scarce resources which have competing uses" (Lionel Robbins). Like every society, the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 must allocate their resources so as to make themselves as well off as possible. Most of the time, being "better off" means surviving another day, and this requires careful planning on both the part of the community and the individual. The survivors initially have to decide as a community what to produce, how much to produce and who will produce it. A number of solutions to this problem exist:
- In social science, economics was the study of the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. In circa 1930, Earth experienced an economic upheaval known as the Great Depression. James T. Kirk and Spock experienced this period during a visit to Earth through the Guardian of Forever. (TOS: "The City on the Edge of Forever" ) While humanity was not driven by economics, several species throughout the galaxy were economically motivated, including the Ferengi, the Dosi, and the Malon. (TNG: "The Last Outpost" , et al.; DS9: "Rules of Acquisition"; VOY: "Think Tank")

- We live in a world with scarce resources. Limited resources means that we can only have access to or produce so much of any one good or service in particular. It also means for example, that if we use our resources to build cars, we might not have enought left over to build boats, planes, or trains. Thats where the limited resources part of economics shows up. The other half of the economics pie focuses our attention on the unlimited wants part. Which considers all the things people dream of while enjoying a good nights sleep. Let's say for example that yesterdeay we chose to use our limited resources to make cars. Now today, we decide we also want not only a car but also a boat too. In other words, we still want everything our eyes see, everything we dreamed about last night, even though
- Economics (UK English: /iːkəˈnɒmɪks/, /ɛkəˈnɒmɪks/; US English: /ɛkəˈnɑːmɪks/, /ikəˈnɑːmɪks/is "a social science concerned chiefly with description and analysis of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services" according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. The discipline was renamed in the late 19th century primarily due to Alfred Marshall from "political economy" to "economics" as a shorter term for "economic science" at a time when it became more open to rigorous thinking and made increased use of mathematics, which helped support efforts to have it accepted as a science and as a separate discipline outside of political science and other social sciences.
- The economic model of A&A is a extremely simple, with only 1 type of resource (IPC's), though constrained by factory production limits. AA50 adds the additional feature of national objectives, where bonus IPC's are awarded for strategic objectives. TripleA has the capability of supporting multiple resources, but the additional resources will not be shown on the screen. Many elements could be added to increase realism. You could add some sort of maintenance rule, to reflect the costs of field operations. The Piece Limits has some of the same effects.
- Economics, according to a classical definition, is the social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. The term economics comes from the Greek oikonomia ("management of a household, administration") from oikos ("house") and nomos ("custom" or "law"), hence "rules of the house(hold)".
