James was born in 1978. Only a few months after his birth, his father died, leaving only his mother. Even worse, his mother died when he was three, leaving only one family member left to take care of him; his grandfather, the famous Joseph R. Silas. Since Joseph was the Captain of the F.O.R.C.E.S., he never had much time to take care of James, so James had to walk to school every morning, and take care of himself until his grandfather came back home at 7:00 PM, sometimes later. When James was only twenty, his grandfather retired and made James the new captain of the F.O.R.C.E.S. since Joseph knew that James had at least some experience with combat and leadership. Only four years after the change of leadership, James had to deal with the loss of his grandfather after Joseph died of cancer.
