The 108th is assigned to the Pennsylvania Army National Guard's 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 28th Infantry Division. The 108th comprises four Batteries, similar to a company/troop with a captain commanding each battery. Batteries A, B, and C are known as firing batteries while HSB (Headquarters and Support Battery) provides support and command to the three firing batteries. A battery is located in Hanover, PA. B battery at South Mountain, PA. C battery in Philadelphia, PA and HSB located in Carlisle, PA. The 108th was activated in humanitarian response to hurricane Katrina in 2005. The battalion also mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team for deployment to Iraq in 2008 where the Battalion served on Camp Taji Iraq.
