In Mobius 25 years later (unaltered) Knuckles refused for his daughter, Lara-Su to become a Guardian. After one of thier arguements, Knuckles spoke with Roter, who had learned about a grave event that will doom Mobius. Lien-Da's son, Rutan, overheard this and after being detected by Knuckles' cybernetic eye, ran to tell his mother. Knuckles then went to see the Grave of his Father, Locke. Knuckles came home with a surprise for Julie-Su and Lara-su, telling them that he would allow Lara-Su to become a guardian.
