| - On the planet Peruses Magna, was an Island by the name of Moira Nui. The beings here resembled a life similar to the ones on Mata Nui, believing in the Great Spirit, and its virtues. In Ta-Moira, lived a matoran by the name of Arini. A mask maker in the village, he was known for making jokes when he wasn't working, but when it came time to start, he could work on masks for hours. Moira Nui was known for being a quiet, peaceful, and unified island. Until the ancient protectors of the Matoran, the Makuta, arose from their deep slumber and attacked Moira and its inhabitants. Seeing Niira, the female Turaga cornered by a Makuta named Iconor, "Stand back, you foul demon!" Niira yelled. Arini jumped in front of Niira, being grasped in the creatures claws instead of the elder. Seeing Arini in peril, Niira used her Noble Kualsi to teleport the Matoran and herself to the nearby Temple in the center of the city. In the small window of time that allotted, the Turaga told Arini about visions she had been having of a great evil arising to threaten the peace. An evil so great, defenders known as Toa must be sent as the last line of defense. As the doors to the temple were creaking and cracking, Niira told the wide eyed Matoran of her plans for him. Reaching behind her back, her hand revealed a red hued stone wrapped in cloth. The door began to crack once more, hinting it could not last further strikes. The Turaga looked at Arini with hope in her eyes, and said "Mata Nui protect you", then teleporting the Matoran outside the temple. Arini stood there outside Ta-Moira, watching the flames and black smoke consume his beloved home, when his auburn eyes filled with water he blinked. Thinking out loud to himself he says, "I have to stay strong, and fight. If not as a Matoran, then a Toa! If memory serves, one becomes a Toa by placing a stone into a Suva which is in a Great Temple". Looking down at the stone, the lone Matoran began to wrap when he noticed what was initially thought to be the same cloth the stone was wrapped in by the Turaga, was actually a map to the Great Temple.
