Deep dwellers were the dwaves who despised the surface of Alagaësia and chose to live permenantly underground in cities such as Tronjheim. Many deep dwellers have a devout belief in the Dwarf religion, with some additional customs. When the wife or mother of a male deep dweller is informed of his death, she will cut off the first joint of her little finger, then honor her husband's/son's memory with a feast. These actions were performed by Glûmra of the Family of Mord following the death of Kvîstor, her son.
