The H.R. Giger series is a line of solid body electric guitars introduced by Ibanez in 2005. They feature graphic designs by influential Swiss modern painter and sculptor Hans Rudolph "H.R." Giger. Giger is perhaps best known for his set design work on the movie Alien. Giger brought a similar sensibility as he displayed in his work on Alien to the design of the signature line of guitars he produced for Ibanez. The line consisted of five guitars and one bass guitar. They all feature graphics from Giger paintings. Some models have specially designed knobs and hardware or are zinc coated.
