Note: The TV Times issue of 23rd December 1989 to 5th January 1990 carried a piece of short fiction by Adele Rose entitled "A Tale of Christmas Past" in which Bet accidentally meets up with Joe again in the Orinoco Club in December 1966 and finds that he is a washed-up has-been.
