Link then is given the Gilded Sword as the Timer goes off for the competition. The clock then strikes 12:00 and the fireworks go off as the clock tower's top goes up higher. Link then decided to take a rest at the Inn for 10 rupees. Link then starts dreaming. in his dream he sees the door he came through with the large doors and 4 different shaped indentions. He sees 4 objects of different shapes and colors. appear and go into the door but right then he hears a crash and wakes up. Link walks outside to where the streets are empty except for a few people. He looks up to the clock tower to see what time it was but notices that the stars were in the same position they were when it turned 12:00 but the clock said 8:00 AM. Navi comments about the time and the weird atmosphere around. Link walks to the mayor's office to speak to him. When he gets there he explains the door and his situation to the mayor and the Mayor tells him that there are 4 temples in every direction that control the water flow of Termina. he then tells Link that there is a gear that is moved by water and if Link can get the water going in all these temples maybe the door will open. Link then ventures off to the South towards the Swamp.
