Caleti (Caletan: Kalati), officially the Republic of Caleti (Caletan: Kamileiko tu Kalati), is a sovereign state consisting of several atolls and islands in the Pacific Ocean. Caleti has a population of around 745,000, about 54% of whom live on what are referred to as the Grace Islands, particularly Rasu. The remaining 46% live spread out among the other islands and atolls. The capital of Caleti is Port of George on the Nilokol Atoll.

Caleti has a population of around 745,000, about 54% of whom live on what are referred to as the Grace Islands, particularly Rasu. The remaining 46% live spread out among the other islands and atolls. The capital of Caleti is Port of George on the Nilokol Atoll. Caleti has been a unitary parliamentary presidential republic since it attained independence from the United Kingdom in 1966. The current President, elected in 2013, is Sylvain Kemliata. Caleti is one of the wealthier Polynesian countries, with a reported GDP of over $8 billion in 2015. Caleti relies primarily on tourism to drive economic activity but generates a fair share of revenue from various exports such as fish and fruits.
