Contrasting sharply to Marin Mountain and its own resort, Orleanon appeals to the "old Core-Worlds civilization" folk. While Marin Mountain tends to be promote a "modern ruggedness", the coastal city keeps to jovial, colorful, high-society flair, without abandoning "old-world" values. There is much to do regarding arts, crafts, and high-living. A strong agricultural base exists in the hilly terrain and old forests between Trinumvira and Orleanon, and many niche crops, such as olives, wine-grapes & wine-berries, galyna (a grain), and chatersa (a type of fig pressed into an oil extract) are harvested. Due to this, and the easy access to the seas, many Meditersari and Janhovi settled here. Orleanon has, in fact, taken several cues and similarities to the Mergani city of Ithaca. The city has given its name to a Shearwater-class frigate, the CMS Orleanon (CFG-48).
