  • King Tank (キングタンク Kingu Tanku?) is a boss from Mega Man & Bass. It is the first boss of the second fortress stage and later fuses into Jet King Robo after King's defeat in a last-ditch effort to defeat the player. To destroy the tank, the player must destroy the three parts that can attack: the top cannon, the turret, and the hatch that releases Rompers. All three are only vulnerable when they use their respective attacks. The treads can also be attacked indefinitely, and if the player attacks them with Remote Mine, it will prevent the tank from charging at them; however, it is not necessary to damage them in order to defeat the tank. The stage consists of a wide battlefield with a lower sub section, accessible by two ladders on either side of the field. In that section, Mega Man and Bass can hide from most of the King Tank's attacks and damage it with Lightning Bolt.
