The Peat-Bladder is a curious, pink, ovoid creature from the higher foothills of the Equatorial Mountains on Darwin IV. Through a break in the lowering clouds, the suns can pick out the exhalation mist of a bed of peat-bladders, the creatures sinking upright in the boggy ground that serves to moisten and protect their sensitive, wrinkled skins. The sounds of their wheezing voices are amusing as the animals' flabby, exposed lips pucker.
