When they could not, they contacted the Jedi Order, who sent Karbacca to help them. The Wookiee successfully resolved the case, and stayed for the night at one of their monasteries. During the night, a Sith attacked the monastery and killed all of the monks inside, eventually slaying Karbacca as well. The order continued for thousands of years, eventually merging with the B'omarr Order.
