Bore worms are Mongo creatures used to torture prisoners. Klytus threatens Princess Aura with them in this memorable exchange from the movie:
Bore worms were creatures used for torture at the Rigel 77 facility. (PROSE: The Undertaker's Gift)
Bore worms were small creatures native to the rogue planet Dakala. They were known to crawl into one's ear at night to lay their eggs. In 2151, just prior to a mission to Dakala, Malcolm Reed and Hoshi Sato taunted Trip Tucker by mentioning the worms and their egg-laying habits, as Tucker was going to be sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag and would therefore be vulnerable to them.

Tucker had initially been glad that the bugs on the planet glowed in the dark, until Sato reminded him that some, like the bore worms, could not be seen at all. After Reed merely mentioned the worms, Sato explained their rationale for worrying about them to a confused Tucker, then wished him a "nice night". (ENT: "Rogue Planet")
