| - Abeo was thrown to the floor by the last explosion. Now the ship was not so empty. Republic soldiers were running in every direction completely ignoring Abeo and the Commandos. It seemed as if they didn’t exist. Every now and then a voice would shout from the speaker calling sections of limit and ordering squadrons of men to certain locations. In one passage way the entire right wall had been blown into space. Luckily a containment field had been put in place. Eventually Abeo and co. got to the Elevator and took it up to Deck 17. At least they were safe in the Elevator for now. It was here that Abeo discovered that the entire Docking Bay Command Centre had been destroyed. Now they could escape on Xerces. When Abeo and his squad reached the Docking Bay they were struck with surprise. The other two squads had been taken prisoner. Then the ships speaker went of again. “All Security forces report to your nearest armoury. We are being bordered. Repeat we are being bordered by Imperial forces.” “Abeo” one of the Commandos shouted. “Look up there” Abeo head turned in the direction of the Docking Bay Command Post. Its glass view screen smeared in blood, and standing looking down on the Commandos was the Apprentice. “Quick, get into Xerces. Hurry!” Abeo shouted to the Commandos. They started to sprint to Xerces. About half way Abeo stopped and turned around to face the closed blast doors. They opened, behind them stood the Apprentice, his Lightsaber ignited, hanging by his side. He removed his cloak but remained still in the dark. He took several paces forward until all of his body save his face was in the light. Then he spoke in a deep voice. “Surrender Jedi. You are no match for the power of the Dark Side of the Force. Surrender now and I may let you live. ” “I would die before I surrendered to the Remnant. Commandos,” He shouted behind him, “ board Xerces and ignite the engines. Go!” The Commandos acknowledged the order and boarded Xerces. “Pantene will kill us both at this rate.” Abeo shouted to the Apprentice. “With all this debris falling from the roof.” As he shouted this, a huge roof support fell and smashed onto the floor between Abeo and the Apprentice blocking each other from view, but Abeo knew the Apprentice could see him through the Force. “Maybe” He shouted back “But at least you won’t be able to stop Lord Sinays and the Union.” “Very well, before you kill me. Tell me, what is the Union.” “Wouldn’t you like to know.” And with this the Apprentice jumped high above the debris and landed in front of Abeo, his face could now be seen. He was dark skinned with piercing red eyes and pupils as black as the night sky. The lower part of his head was tattooed completely black and several small mechanical devices lined his chin horizontally. He bore a massive scar across the left side of his face leading from his mouth to his ear. He was completely bald save his jagged crown head. On his forehead was tattooed as well a strange symbol that appeared of a black circle with to vertical boats on either side. The Apprentice saved little time and immediately swung his weapon at Abeo’s head. Thankfully Abeo saw the attack and had quickly jumped to one side. At this time Abeo swung his leg hitting the Apprentice in the stomach obliging him to gasp for breath. Abeo turned and picked up a Vibrosword one of the Commandos had dropped and swung it straight for the Apprentices head, but the attack was parried. The Apprentice swung once again for the head unsuccessfully and then for Abeo’s left arm. His arm was sliced causing immense bleeding so forcing Abeo to collapse onto the floor. Holding his arm in pain, Abeo looked up to see the Apprentice standing over him with his Lightsaber high above his head, ready to strike at any moment. “Now” The Apprentice spoke, “You die.” “I think not” Abeo replied strongly. The Apprentice burst out laughing so loud he couldn’t hear Abeo rise to his feet. Behind the Apprentice Abeo swung his Vibrosword down upon the Apprentice’s head slicing the Dark Jedi in two. Abeo wrestled with the hand to remove the Lightsaber. He turned and ran for Xerces. He didn’t get very far before fainting to his loss of blood. Abeo was sure this was the end. Abeo had been unconscious for a while before waking up. The first thing he saw being a Medical Droid of standard configuration. “Where…” Abeo stopped in pain, “Where am I?” “You are in Medical Facility 23B” the Droid replied. “Yes but where is here?” “On the planet of Coruscant” Next: The Senate
