1-Up Kirbies (called in the game simply as 1Ups; page is named this way to avoid confusion) are items in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. They look like figures of Kirby with the word "1UP" on them, as well as a glowing aura surrounding them. These items are very similar to the 1-Up Mushrooms in the Mario series. This is because 1-Up Kirbies award the player with a 1-Up (extra life) when collected. So, for example, if Kirby (or Meta Knight, King Dedede, or Bandana Waddle Dee) loses a life by losing all their health from enemy hits, they can collect a 1-Up Kirby to receive another life. 1-Up Kirbies are often found hidden, however, they are sometimes awarded to the player.
