  • In Japanese mythology, Ogama refers to a small cave behind the cascade of the Ryumon no taki (Ryumon Waterfall), located in the Shikoku Mountains in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. The waterfall is 20m high and 65m wide. In Ogama is an unnamed monster described as resembling an enormous snake. It apparently attacks people by extending out of the cave to nearby land while keeping its tail still in the cave. There is also another cave behind the waterfall (Megama), but it contains no monster. This monster is the reason why the waterfall's name means "dragon's gate".
