His rap sheet dates back to 1957, with his first arrest being for conspiracy and grand larceny followed by charges for operating a gambling house and conspiracy to violate gambling laws and other gambling law violation charges over the years. He was also suspected of being involved in burglaries and counterfeiting. Bedami is a former bail bondsman and currently owns Metro and G&C Stevedore companies located at the Port of Tampa. In his heyday he ran bolita and illegal gambling operations for the Tampa family under Santo Trafficante, Jr.
